I pulled this film from a Rotten Tomatoes listicle, and it was well placed. This is the exact brainfuckery which I loved about Inception. I'll just list off my main thoughts rather than belaugering any points.
- Constantly disorienting (including the camera work).
- Excellent social banter, several haughty-laugh moments.
- Unreliable narrator, unreliable everything. This makes it easy to disengage from strict adherence to physics or time.
- This was essentially a modern retelling of the The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street, which makes it not the most original plot, but its unique interpretation makes it worth it.
